Are you interested in a SIBERIAN HUSKY? If you want an affectionate, good natured, friendly, eager to please you puppy/dog, then you may consider the Siberian Husky.
They do not make good watch dogs, they love everyone. They crave companionship, besides humans, they especially like other Huskies.
They have a high prey instinct and may chase smaller animals and even kill them if caught. They are extremely good with children.
The Husky does its best in a large fenced yard, they were bred to run infront of a sled and make independent decsions on their own, so they should be kept under supervision at all times. They require daily exercise.
An apartment is not a recommended home for a Siberian Husky.
The Husky is a shedder, blowing its coat twice a year, weekly grooming is recommended.
Training comes easy for the Husky, they have an eager to please attitude, although the Husky is very clever and does have a mind of its own, the trainer must firm and patient.
Early socialization and obedience training is recommended.
The SIBERIAN HUSKY makes a great family companion.
