EYE COLOR INFORMATION

We do not breed for eye color and will not sell puppies based on eye color.

We breed for temperament and conformation.  If you want a happy, healthy puppy with an excellent temperament, it is in your best interest to accept the eye color nature has chosen and let eye color be your very last choice.  All eye colors are accepted in the AKC Siberian Husky Standard.

You do not pick your friends based on eye color, so why would you pick your puppy/dog to be your best friend based on eye color?

Puppies open their eyes at around 10 days old and all puppies will have "blue eyes" at this time.  Eyes start to change colors at approximately 3 weeks old, but can even change at 6 or 7 weeks.  If the puppies eyes are still "blue" at 4 weeks old, chances are they will stay "blue," but we cannot guarantee this.  "Brown eye color" is the dominant eye color in all dogs.  Most SHOW Siberians will have almond shaped "brown eyes."  "Blue" makes the eyes look round and round eyes in a Siberian is a fault.

If you are looking for a happy, healthy puppy with an excellent temperament, we will be glad to help you.  If you must have the "blue eyed one" in the litter just because it has "blue eyes," then we probably are not the breeder for you.  The love of a Siberian as a family pet should go much deeper than its eye color.  The Siberian Husky has alot of wonderful qualities and characteristics that should be considered before choosing eye color to be the reason for purchasing a Siberian Husky as a family companion.

If after reading this, you still want to purchase a puppy with "blue eyes" please understand we cannot and will not reserve a puppy based on eye color.  There are other people, including children, who do not care if the eyes are "blue" or "brown," but want a happy, healthy puppy with an excellent temperament first and foremost.  If there is a puppy available on our website that you like, check back at 4 weeks of age for eye color.  Maybe it is still available.  You can place a deposit at anytime for the next litter available as long as you understand we cannot guarantee eye color.  We do occasionally have "blue eyes" and will try to work with you, but once again, we cannot guarantee eye color.  I have seen both parents have "blue eyes" and one puppy with "brown eyes" or "one blue/one brown" eye or "one blue eye and one parti eye (half blue/half brown)" and even "green eyes."

If you place a deposit and decide later on you do not want the puppy because it does not have those "blue eyes," you will loose your deposit and any future purchases.  Make sure you want this puppy before you place a deposit!

If you must have the "BLUE EYED PUPPY" in order to love it, we suggest you look somewhere else.
